Plyols are typically medium- to high-viscosity liquids. Depending on formulation, they may contain catalysts, fillers, flame retardants, or blowing agents. Viscosity is strongly temperature-dependent and, in formulated systems, excessive shear can alter rheological behavior.<\/span><\/p>\n

Isocyanates \u2014 particularly MDI \u2014 introduce a different level of complexity. They are moisture-sensitive and reactive. Even minimal water contamination initiates CO\u2082 formation and solid byproducts (carbamates), leading to line obstruction, pressure instability, and mechanical seizure. Additionally, MDI can crystallize if temperature drops below safe operating thresholds.<\/span><\/p>\n

This means that transfer is not simply a matter of moving fluid from point A to point B. It is a controlled handling process under chemical, thermal, and mechanical constraints.<\/span><\/p>\n
