This traditional series of volumetric gear pumps obtained by earth casting is mainly used for the transfer of liquids up to 15 bar.
In the case of products of medium/high viscosity, the pumps of this series can be used for metering services with the aid of frequency variators or motor variators, also electrically servo-controlled with a 4 ÷ 20 mA signal or pneumatically with a 3 ÷ 15 psi signal.
The construction of this series of gear pumps complies with the 2006/42/CE, 2014/30/UE, 2014/35/UE directives and the UNI EN ISO 12100, UNI EN ISO 13732-1, UNI EN 809, UNI EN ISO 14847 standards. On request versions compliant with the 2014/34/EU (ATEX) directive and with the API 676 – NACE MR0175 standards; it is also available with EAC (CU TR 010) – CU TR 012 certification.

The main applications of B MG Series transfer pumps are:
THERMO-HYDRAULIC SECTOR
Transfer of oils, naphtha, diesel fuel.

Pumping of hydraulic oil for the lubrication of large industrial compressors.

Pumping of glues, resins, paints, preheated greases, adhesives, isocyanates, polyols, polymers, shampoos.

The transfer and metering of any type of liquid with the absence of solid suspensions.
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
MATERIAL
The B series pumps can be made of cast iron, bronze or AISI316L stainless steel (for models from size 200 to 600).
Shafts and gears are subjected to a special anti-wear and anti-seize-up heat treatment. The materials used vary according to the type of pump.
SHAFTS AND GEARS
The construction standard foresees shafts and gears in hardened carbon steel for cast-iron pumps.
Bronze gears and AISI316L stainless steel shafts for bronze pumps; gears and shafts in AISI316L for the pumps in stainless steel. For particularly onerous applications it is possible to supply the pump with “HH” (High Hardness) treated gears and shafts.
SPECIAL TREATMENT
The supporting takes place using bushings in loaded PTFE, graphite or self-lubricating sintered material according to the type of application. The seal can be made with packing (design temperature 300°C) or with simple or double mechanical sealing (design temperature 200°C) in various materials selected based on the chemical and physical characteristics of the pumped product. The standard connections are BSP threaded for sizes between B5 and B40, by means of oval threaded BSP or weld-in counterflanges for sizes between B50 and B150 and by means of square threaded BSP or weld-in counterflanges for sizes between the B200 and B600.
INTEGRATIONS
All models can be integrated with ANSI or DIN flanges.
Unless otherwise specified, the direction of rotation of the pump is clockwise (pump seen from the shaft output side); upon request, mechanical seals suitable for anticlockwise or reversible rotation can be applied. The BX type models in the standard version are built in AISI316L with an anti-wear – anti-seize-up heat treatment which makes the component parts of the pump black (“Black treatment”).
For the food sector, on request, it is possible to assemble gears in plastic material and avoid the treatment (“Black treatment”). On request it is possible to equip the pump with a preheating chamber and/or a built-in safety valve. The pumps of this series can be supplied with a bare shaft or with a base and alignment to motors, gearboxes or variators with construction in accordance with CE regulations.
