Pompe Cucchi has created this new series of gear pumps made from steel bars in order to obtain high quality pump bodies with the total absence of cracks and/ or casting defects
The construction of this series of gear pumps complies with the 2006/42/CE, 2014/30/UE, 2014/35/UE directives and with the UNI EN ISO 12100, UNI EN ISO 13732-1, UNI EN 809, UNI, EN ISO 14847 standards. On request, versions compliant with the 2014/34/EU (ATEX) directive and with API 676 – NACE MR0175 standards; it is also available with EAC (CU TR 010) – CU TR 012 certification.
The quality system of Pompe Cucchi S.r.l. operates in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
The S, SK series is used in numerous sectors in the transfer of liquids with viscosities from 1 to 100,000 Cps. In the case of medium/high viscosity products, it can be used for metering services with the aid of frequency variators or motor variators, also electrically servo-controlled with a 4 ÷ 20mA signal or pneumatically with a 3 ÷ 15 psi signal.
The transfer and metering of any type of liquid with the absence of solid suspensions.
The transfer of liquids in the primary transformation processes - pumping of chocolate – fats jams etc.
The pumping of molasses and other liquid products for animal feeding.
The pumping of glues, resins, bases, acids, isocyanates, polyiols etc.
All models are provided with Gas threaded ports or weld-on connections, and can be integrated with ANSI or DIN flanges. On request, versions with a built-in safety valve and preheating chambers are available.
The version in AISI 316L stainless steel has an anti-wear-anti-seize-up heat treatment that makes the component parts of the pump black (“black treatment”). For food applications it is possible to insert FDA certified “FC” plastic gears, leaving the parts in AISI 316L unaltered.
In this way, the impossibility of seizing up in case of dry running is guaranteed. In addition, this arrangement allows the total maintenance of the pump directly on the system without the aid of equipment or adjustments.
The magnetic drive guarantees the absolute absence of leaks and solves all pumping problems in plants where environmental and human safety are of the utmost priority.
The main advantages of the magnetic drive are:
The standard version of the magnetic drive is: internal rotor coated in AISI 316 Ti (DIN 1.4571) containment cup in AISI 316Ti, – external rotor in ST37 steel. On request, it is possible to supply Hastelloy (C or D) or Titanium rotors. The temperature range goes from –40°C to +350°C with a maximum torque of 80 Nm. The bearing bushings are provided in filled PTFE, self-lubricating sintered materials or FDA-certified graphite. On request also in silicon carbide. In all those applications where a special surface finish is required, it is possible to carry out a mirror polishing of both the pump and the lantern.
This innovative heat treatment significantly increases the life of the gears and gives the treated parts greater resistance to corrosion by chemical agents, a very low coefficient of friction and a very high degree of wear resistance.
It also makes it possible to obtain a surface hardness of 4000 Vickers. The same process is used by one of the major Formula 1 teams for the treatment of some parts of the engine that are particularly prone to wear.
Special plastic gears have been made for special applications. These new gears, called “KK”, have superior mechanical and chemical characteristics when compared with the same characteristics of the plastic materials currently on the market.
FDA-certified “FC” plastic gears are also available.
The seal can be made with packings (design temperature 300°C) or single or double mechanical seals (design temperature 200°C) in various materials selected on the basis of the chemical-physical characteristics of the pumped liquid. The construction standard foresees a mechanical seal in ceramic/graphite/Viton.
