This series of magnetic drive metering pumps has been designed to allow the production of the components of the steel bar pump.
The N series pumps have been designed to satisfy all those applications where, in addition to a constant pressure, a remarkable precision in the metering is also required.
The total absence of pulsations in the delivery pressure optimizes the reading quality of the flow meters, the promptness in response to changes in flow rate always ensures correct and precise metering; these factors are essential in the management of a system and in maintaining the qualitative characteristics of the pumped product.
The construction of this series of magnetic drive metering pumps complies with the 2006/42/CE, 2014/30/UE, 2014/35/UE directives and with the UNI EN ISO 12100, UNI EN ISO 13732-1, UNI EN 809, UNI EN ISO 14847 standards. On request, versions in compliance with the 2014/34/EU (ATEX) directive and with the API 676 – NACE MR0175 standards; it is also available with EAC (CU TR 010) – CU TR 012 certification.
The management of the quality system of Pompe Cucchi Srl operates in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 standard.
Metering in the chemical sector for the manufacture of soaps and liquid detergents.
Metering in the chemical sector of toxic, polluting and dangerous liquids.
Metering in the cosmetic sector for the production of shampoos, creams, shower gels, etc.
Metering in the food sector of flavors, juices, melted butter, royal jelly, jams, etc.
Metering in the textile sector of water, acids, bases.
Metering in the industrial sector of products with viscosity values between 1 and 100,000 cps.
Motion is supported through graphite bushings and shims (on request they are also available in loaded PTFE – or silicon carbide). In this way, the impossibility of seizures in case of dry running is guaranteed. In addition, this device allows for total maintenance of the pump directly on the system without the aid of equipment or adjustments.
It is possible to provide an external by-pass valve on the delivery duct. Made of AISI316L stainless steel, they are available in four different sizes (VE1 – VE2 – VE3 – VE4) with threaded connections from ½” up to 1½”, calibration pressures 3 ÷ 15 bar. Also on request, preheating chambers which are suitable for superheated water or diathermic oil can be applied.
Also in AISI316L stainless steel, they are subjected to a particular anti-wear and anti-seize-up heat treatment.
Since 1996, a new heat treatment called “HH” (High Hardness) has been available for heavy use with partial cavitation phenomena or in the transfer and metering of deionized, demineralized water or liquids with high vapor tensions. This innovative heat treatment significantly increases the life of the gears and gives the treated parts greater resistance to corrosion by chemical agents, a very low coefficient of friction and a very high degree of wear resistance. It also makes it possible to obtain a surface hardness of 4000 Vickers. The same treatment is used by one of the major Formula 1 teams to treat special engine parts which are most prone to wear.
For special applications, “KK” plastic gears have been developed with exceptional chemical and mechanical properties.
The mechanical seal assembled as standard is made of ceramic/graphite/Viton, but single or double seals in silicon carbide or tungsten carbide with seals in Viton, PTFE, Kalrez are available for particular applications. The standard version includes inlets with SAE “weld-on” type flanged connections, but on request they can be supplied with BSP/NPT, ASA or DIN threaded connections suitable for food.
The magnetic drive guarantees complete absence of leaks and solves all pumping problems in plants where environmental and human safety are of the utmost priority.
The standard version of the magnetic drive is: internal rotor in AISI316L (DIN 1.4571) – external rotor in ST37 steel.
On request it is possible to supply Hastelloy (C or D) or Titanium rotors. The temperature range goes from –40°C to + 350°C with a torque max of 2000 Nm.
The main advantages of a magnetic drive are:
This special grooving, which puts pressure on the bearing area of the bushings with the stuffing box, as well as allowing the complete elimination of traces of the liquid conveyed through washing, makes it possible to obtain a continuous supply of liquid in the supporting and sealing area thus avoiding stagnation and keeping the chemical/physical characteristics of the pumped product unaltered.
When the pump is not running, it is possible to steam wash it using the SIP cycle. On request, if special surface finishes are required, it is possible to supply mirror polished pumps and base.
The motors can be selected with power supplies suitable for the application of frequency variators to create metering groups. On request, servo-ventilated, explosion-proof motors, gearmotors and variable speed motors, also electrically or pneumatically servo-controlled, can be supplied.
